The Mexican Garden

Here you are in the heart of the Mexican desert with ghostly horizons worthy of a cowboy film, landscapes of sand dunes, a land of light in the heart of the Breton wild west !

Head for the Mexican desert

Cactus, yellow, green and blue agaves and other succulent plants dominate the garden.  Shrubs take pride of place and there are no trees on the landscape...

In the distance, the Mexican Grand Canyon comprised of cliffs standing 6 to 20 m tall.  The canyon was reconstructed using blocks of granite weighing from 50 kg to 15 tons !

An oasis in the heart of the desert

The cascades add a touch of freshness and their colour reflects on the bougainvilleas.  Above our heads, red and green macaws and blue and yellow macaws in semi captivity spread their colourful wings.

New :  "Red Canyon Jasper" circuit

Cimb up the steep cliff and admire the desert and palm grove from the top !

When you get back down, take a walk around the collection of 30 yuccas from the Wild West (Texas, Mexico) including several that are over a hundred years old.  Smooth and shiny Red Jasper stones (red jasper rolled in  Amercian rivers) weighing 20 to 300 kg complete the decor.

NOT TO BE MISSED…

  • The Mexical greenhouse and its 300 giant cacti over a hundred years old, no doubt the second best collection after the Monaco collection.   Lithops, prickly pear, penis plant, common spindle, pincushion cactus stand out due to their original aspect.

  • 15 Aztec and Mayan statues, 3 metres tall made from one block of stone which blend in naturally with the landscape.
